Files
Browse processed files by name, type, and language, follow files waiting in the processing queue, and delete files.
Overview
The Files page lists uploaded files. It has two tabs:
- Processed: files that IntQuest has finished processing. You can search, sort, open, and delete them.
- In queue: imported files that are waiting to be processed, with any intake problems.
The Files page doesn’t search inside document text. To search document contents, use Search.
Before you begin
The Files item appears in the navigation bar only if your account has the Modify Settings permission. See Roles and permissions.
Open the page
Click Files in the navigation bar. The Processed tab opens.
Processed files
1Processed and In queue - the two tabs.2Search field - filters the list by name, type, or language.3Auto refresh - reloads the list on a timer.4Rows per page - the number of files per page.5How list settings work - the question mark icon that explains the list settings.6Status chips - the result count, the last refresh time, and the list status.7Page numbers - moves between pages.8File list - one row per file, with a checkbox and a delete button.
The Processed tab shows:

- Status chips: the result count (for example
Showing 1–8 of 9 results), the Applied query chip when a search is active, the time of the last refresh, and the list status. - Page numbers at the right end of the status chips.
- File list: one row per file with a checkbox, Name, Type, Processed At, Language, and Actions.
Search the list
Type in the search field (Search by name, type, or language). The list updates when you pause typing; press Enter or click Search to update it at once. The search matches the file Name, Type, or Language. For example, type docx to list only Word documents.
To clear the search, click the X in the search field or on the Applied query chip.
Sort the list
The list is sorted by Processed At, newest first. Click a column header (Name, Type, Processed At, or Language) to sort by that column. A newly selected column sorts in ascending order; click it again to reverse the order. An arrow next to the header shows the current direction.
Open a file
Click a file name, or anywhere on its row outside the checkbox and buttons, to open the file in File View.
Delete files
Warning: deleting a file permanently removes it and its derived search data. You can’t undo it.
To delete one file:
- In the Actions column, click the red delete button (trash icon).
- In the confirmation dialog, check the file name and click Delete permanently. Click Cancel to keep the file.
To delete several files:
- Select the checkbox of each file. To select every file on the page, select the checkbox in the header.

List settings
- Auto refresh: reloads the list on a timer: Off (manual), 5s, 10s, 30s, or 60s. On the Processed tab it is off by default. While it is on, the control counts down to the next refresh. After an error, the interval grows until the next successful refresh, and a Retry now button appears.
- Rows per page: shows 8, 10, 25, or 50 files per page. The default is 8. Changing it returns you to the first page.
The status chip shows Synced or Live when the list is up to date and Updating… while it loads.
The address bar keeps the search, page, page size, and sort, so you can bookmark or share a view of the list.
Files in the queue
Click the In queue tab to see imported files that haven’t been processed yet.
1In queue - the selected tab.2Queue help - explains that Ready files are picked up automatically and Invalid files keep the reason in Issue.3Auto refresh - reloads the queue, every 5 seconds by default.4How list settings work - the question mark icon that explains the list settings.5Status chips - the number of files in the queue, the last refresh time, and the list status.6Queue table - one row per queued file.7No files are waiting - shown when the queue is empty.
The queue reloads every 5 seconds by default. The table shows each file’s Name, Type, Language, Parsing Method, Size, Modified At, Queue Status, and Issue:
- Ready: the file is waiting to be processed. The processor picks it up automatically.
- Invalid: the file was rejected during intake. The Issue column gives the reason.
When the queue is empty, the tab shows No files are waiting.
