Agents
Install, connect, manage and remove the DeviceQuest host agent on Linux and Windows.
The DeviceQuest host agent runs on your servers and workstations. It collects inventory locally, runs scans from inside your network, and connects outbound to the agent gateway, so no inbound firewall rule is needed on the host.
- Agent overview: what the agent is, how it connects, what it collects and which commands it runs.
- Install on Linux: the one-command install, the manual install, the systemd service and how to verify it.
- Install on Windows: the PowerShell install, the install paths and the
DeviceQuestAgentservice. - Remote SSH deploy: push the agent to a Linux asset from its asset page with an SSH credential.
- Kubernetes agent gateway: let agents on customer networks reach a Kubernetes deployment through the ingress on port 443.
- CLI reference: every subcommand, flag and environment variable of
devicequest-agent. - Updates, revoke and uninstall: update an agent, revoke an agent or a bootstrap credential, and remove the agent from a host.
