How to manage credentials

Credential entries specify the accounts that agents use to collect data. For a Windows agent, the account must have administrative rights.

Log in to the CYBERQUEST web interface with an account with administrative rights.

Navigate to Settings > Management > Credential Manager:

On this page, credentials for collection agents can be created, edited, or deleted.

The Search function on the right side of the page filters existing credentials.

Credential list

  • To edit a credential, click Edit Edit button. This process is almost identical to adding credentials.
  • Copy GUID: Copies the unique identifier (GUID) of the credential.

  • Delete removes a credential from the list.

Add new credential

Select ADD NEW CREDENTIALS and complete the form:

Credential form

Name: Identifier for the credential set (multiple sets can exist)

Username/Email: Account name or email address

Password: Account password

Confirmation Password: Repeat the password to confirm

Domain: Domain name when using a domain account (leave empty for local accounts)

Notes: Optional details about the credential usage or scope

Click Save to create the credential, or Cancel to discard changes.
